Heaven Upside Down

Marilyn Manson continued working with producer Tyler Bates on Heaven Upside Down, following their collaboration on The Pale Emperor. The record keeps some of that album's blues weight while returning to more aggressive electronic rhythms and sharply defined guitar attacks.

“We Know Where You Fucking Live” pushes the confrontational side forward, while “Kill4Me” places a more melodic vocal over its pulse. The longer “Saturnalia” allows the tension to develop more gradually. Those differences in pace keep the album from relying on the same theatrical gesture throughout its ten songs.
