Hounds Of Love

Hounds of Love divides into two distinct listening experiences. Its first side moves through tightly shaped songs including “Running Up That Hill,” “Cloudbusting” and the title track, with Kate Bush building rhythmic detail around memorable vocal lines.

The second side, The Ninth Wave, follows a person alone in the water. Voices, traditional instruments and changing electronic textures make that sequence feel unstable in ways the opening songs only suggest.
