"Love And Theft"

Bob Dylan made “Love and Theft” with his touring band, adding keyboardist Augie Meyers for the sessions. Released on 11 September 2001, it puts ‘Mississippi’, ‘Summer Days’ and ‘High Water (For Charley Patton)’ together in a twelve-song sequence.

The title of ‘High Water’ names its dedication to the blues musician Charley Patton. It sits midway through the album, between ‘Floater (Too Much to Ask)’ and ‘Moonlight’; ‘Sugar Baby’ closes the record.
