For Ever expands Jungle’s layered vocals and tightly repeating grooves across a second album. “Heavy, California” and “Happy Man” keep the rhythm immediate, while Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland give the arrangements more space and melancholy.

The songs repeatedly place uncertainty inside buoyant music. “Casio” makes that tension especially clear, letting a light, insistent groove carry a vocal about a relationship coming apart.
