Silver Bleeds The Black Sun...

AFI's twelfth album, Silver Bleeds the Black Sun..., follows Bodies with a darker emphasis on goth rock and post-punk textures. Davey Havok's voice sits against sharply outlined guitars and a measured rhythmic pulse, giving the songs a different sense of movement from the band's early hardcore records.

The lead single “Behind the Clock” introduces that approach without discarding the band's melodic instincts. Across the album, atmosphere comes from the space between the instruments as much as their volume. It extends a long-running interest in darker pop forms through a concise new set of songs.
